Designed to eliminate direct contact between correction officers and violent inmates housed in Administrative, Punitive, or Psychiatric Segregation Units, this system mounts to existing detention doors in place of a food pass door. This Access Control System features a dual security lock system with a sliding metal door and a stainless steel tray with a hinged cover, allowing correction staff to safely pass food, medication, and documents into the cell without coming in direct contact with dangerous inmates. In addition, the System facilitates the controlled release and return of an inmate to the cell without exposing correction officers to potential battery. The system utilizes a heavy-duty welded construction made of stainless steel. It is available in a variety of configurations including fixed or removable tray, clear Lexan cover or aluminum cover with a Lexan or shatterproof glass window. Units are furnished in right and left hand configurations for doors with either center or side food pass openings. Security locks can be supplied with specified key codes.
